History

This event was devised to encourage exploration of the rolling countryside around Seagrave, and to raise money to help towards the refurbishment and upkeep of Seagrave Memorial Hall and to support other good causes.

The inspiration for ‘the Challenge’ came from Chris Thompson, a resident of Seagrave & a keen eventer who took part in similar walking/running/cycling events such as the Belvoir challenge, Viking challenge, Waltham Winder, and Sherrard Stride.

2017 is the 13th year of the event

We will be using footpaths, bridle ways, some private farm land, minor roads, and have been allowed to make our own route through other private land not normally available to the public.

Refreshments will be available free throughout the event.

Our thanks once more go to our army of residents who provide admin, marshalling and catering services and of course make our famous crumble & custard for those completing the course.
