Latest News - October 2009 __ _ _ _ _ ____________________ _ _ __ _ _ ____This years event will be in reverse, and will start with a road section before going cross country at Quebec Farm. We have tried to vary the route each year to make it more interesting for our regular participants. There will be changes at the section near Stanford Hall and through Wymeswold, where we have decided to change the checkpoint and are now using the Scout building. The last 5 miles has no road sections and leads directly into the Village Hall Field at Seagrave from private farm land. These changes can take some time to finalise and we thank the farmers for their cooperation._ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ We have also decided to add two mini refreshment stations serving water and jelly babies in between the checkpoints, this is an improvement that has been suggested from your feedback. Since last year the Village Hall has been refurbished and you will notice the improvements at the challenge. To date the challenge has raised approximately £14,000 and we would like to say a huge thank you for supporting us! Look forward to seeing you in November!!! |
