History
This event was devised in 2005 to encourage exploration of the rolling countryside around Seagrave, and to raise money to help towards the refurbishment and upkeep of Seagrave Memorial Hall and to support other good causes.
The inspiration for ‘the Challenge’ came from Chris Thompson, a resident of Seagrave and a keen eventer who took part in similar walking/running/cycling events such as the Belvoir challenge, Viking challenge, Waltham Winder, and Sherrard Stride.
Over the last 18 years, we have supported the following good causes:
- Seagrave Memorial Hall Refurbishment & Maintenance Fund
- Seagrave All Saints Church floor repair
- Seagrave Village Primary School
