Seagrave Wolds Challenge
Saturday 8th November 2025
The Seagrave Wolds Challenge welcomes all walkers & runners. The route changes every year and typically covers about 16 miles of varied terrain through the beautiful Leicestershire Wolds countryside using footpaths and sections of private land.
The event is more of a personal challenge against the terrain, weather conditions and distance than a race. To sustain competitors there are food and drink stops (with toilets) on the route while at the finish cobs, soup and the legendary Seagrave apple crumbles are served. Well-behaved dogs are welcome and medical personnel will be on hand. Entrants under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a major community event with the route planned, manned and marshalled by the people of Seagrave village. Proceeds are donated to a number of local charities which usually include the Church, Memorial Hall, and School in Seagrave Village and the Royal British Legion.
The event regularly sells out, so to avoid disappointment, register early!
